KPM31 single-phase DIN Rail Prepaid Energy Meter integrates data acquisition and control functions
Learn MoreIn the operation of large shopping malls and supermarkets, electricity bill collection, energy consumption monitoring, and tenant management have always been pain points for property management. Adopting a prepaid system can effectively solve problems such as high upfront funding pressure and low efficiency of manual meter reading.
Tenant Self-Payment (Prepaid Electricity):
Supermarkets contain numerous leased stalls such as restaurants, retail stores, and cinemas. Through the prepaid system, tenants can directly top up their accounts online (via an app/mini-program). The system automatically alerts when the balance is insufficient and automatically cuts off power in case of arrears, completely avoiding the risk of property management having to pay electricity bills upfront.
Energy Consumption Allocation in Public Areas:
For public facilities such as elevators, central air conditioning, and parking lots, the prepaid system can work with an energy management platform to accurately calculate energy consumption in each area, providing data support for property management to conduct cost accounting and energy-saving renovations.
Malicious Load Monitoring and Safety Hazard Warning:
Supermarket environments are complex, and the unauthorized use of high-power electrical appliances can easily cause fires. Smart meters can monitor current fluctuations in real time. Once an illegal load or overheating of the line is detected, the system will immediately trip the circuit breaker and trigger an alarm, ensuring fire safety.
For supermarket environments, RS485 or wireless (LoRaWAN) networking is recommended:
Terminal Layer: Install DIN rail prepaid meters (DIN rail meters are recommended due to space constraints in commercial environments).
Transmission Layer: Data is aggregated to the cloud via a smart gateway.
Application Layer: Administrators can view reports through the backend, and merchants can recharge and check electricity usage via mobile devices.
The system can be configured with a "balance threshold." When the electricity bill falls below the set value, it will automatically send a text message or system pop-up reminder to merchants, avoiding the resource waste of traditional paper payment notices.
Reduced Labor Costs: No need to read meters and deliver notices door-to-door.
Optimized Cash Flow: Prepaid electricity fees not only solve the problem of advance payment but also generate a certain amount of cash accumulation.
Enhancing Management Image: Transparent electricity pricing and a convenient recharge experience can significantly improve tenant satisfaction with property services.
Technical Tip: During implementation, it is recommended to choose a system that supports API interface integration to ensure seamless integration with the supermarket's existing property management or financial systems in the future.
